What the Kagame's Regime Wants the International Community to Forget.

It appears that the ruling Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) is attempting desperate tricks in order to divert attention from the Mapping Report on the DRC. The monumental document, released on the first of October, accuse troops under Paul Kagame’s leadership of committing a possible genocide against the Hutu community.

The report is a PR nightmare, for a regime that had gotten used to getting unmerited praise. Immediately after its release, Jason Stearns an expert on the DRC wrote, “This report will rock the internet for months and years to come. Its political importance is hard to overstate.”

Now Rwanda thinks they can get around it, and sweep it under the rug by creating controversial scenarios. It is with this thought in mind that they arrested Madame Victoire Ingabire, an outspoken opposition leader. Believing their method to work, they are now using the same tactic against all their potential rivals and critics.

This week, they issued an arrest warrant against US attorney, Prof Peter Erlinder. Yesterday, the regime issued another one against “Hotel Rwanda” hero, Paul Rusesabagina. Bloggers at coloredopinions mockingly laugh at the whole game:

What a gentle terrorist triumvirate the Kagame regime has named: Peter, Paul, and Victoire. Ha ha ha ha ha HA! Peter Erlinder, Paul Rusesabagina, and Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza. Victoire's situation, in a Rwandan jail, isn't funny at all, but I've gotta have a moment to laugh about this.

While the moves are indeed laughable and unlikely to succeed, the regime is potentially distracting the entire world away from discussing the genocide committed by the regime in the DRC. In which, they stand accused.
