Rich countries need to support the UN Millennium Goals

The United Nations in partnership with OECD today urged wealthy countries to increase aid to Africa.

In a review of the UN millennium goals and the UN economic Commission noted that the millennium goals achieved some considerable success although challenges remain. Some of these challenges have to do with provision of basic services such as water, sanitation. Another are which poses problems but needs critical focus is the infrastructure.

Overall speaking, African countries have seen an increase in their GDPs but this might decrease due to the global economic crisis.
