Inspiring Story of Ted Williams

Do you like this post?
For all those who regularly read my blog, you might have started to give in to cynicism and despair about the state of politics in Rwanda. While the situation is surely pessimistic, there are many good things happening in this world and in Rwanda too.

Several days ago, I noticed a YouTube video that has since gone viral. It is an uplifting story about a homeless man, Ted Williams, with “a golden voice”. The story was like a signpost to me, reminding me that goodness still exists in this world. Our role therefore, despite the many frustrations on our way, is to extend goodness to others.

Today, the Guardian tells us that Ted has now been offered a two-year contract position with Cleveland Cavaliers. The job “could include voiceover work”.
